Arizona Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage — also called Part C — bundles hospital, medical, and often prescription drug coverage into one plan offered by private insurers. If you are comparing Medicare Advantage in Arizona, I help you evaluate networks, drug formularies, and out-of-pocket costs for plans available in your county.

Why work with an independent broker

Medicare Advantage is not one-size-fits-all. Plans change premiums, copays, provider networks, and drug formularies every year — and the "lowest premium" plan is not always the lowest total cost once you account for your medications and specialists. An independent broker compares plans from multiple carriers side by side, checks whether your doctors and hospitals are in network, and explains trade-offs like HMO versus PPO access in plain language.

You work directly with Cara Eisinger throughout enrollment and each annual review — not a call center reading a script.

Common questions

What is Medicare Advantage?

Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. Most plans include Part D drug coverage and may offer extras like dental or vision. You still have Medicare; the plan administers your benefits.

What happens if my Medicare Advantage plan drops my doctor?

Networks change each year. During AEP you can switch to another Advantage plan that includes your doctor, or explore Original Medicare plus Medigap if network restrictions no longer work for you. I review network changes with you every fall.

Can I have both Medigap and Medicare Advantage?

No. Medigap supplements Original Medicare; it does not work alongside Medicare Advantage. You choose one path — Advantage or Original Medicare plus Supplement — and I help you understand the trade-offs.

Can I switch Medicare Advantage plans each year?

Yes. During AEP (October 15 – December 7), you can compare and switch Medicare Advantage plans for the following year. I recommend an annual review even if you are happy with your current plan — benefits and networks change.

How do I know if my prescriptions are covered?

Each Advantage plan has its own formulary (drug list) with tiered copays. I compare formulary costs for your specific medications across plans so you see estimated annual drug spending, not just the monthly premium.

Serving Arizona Medicare beneficiaries

Medicare Advantage availability varies by county. Maricopa County — including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Peoria, and Surprise — has many plan options, but networks and drug lists differ by ZIP code. Whether you are new to Medicare choosing between Advantage and Medigap, or a longtime Advantage member reviewing plans during AEP, I help you compare options available where you live and choose one that fits your doctors, prescriptions, and budget.
